4) Self taught. Mom and Grandma quilt also.

5) Piecing

6) Patterns

7) Love designing my own patterns.

8 ) That's tough. A lot of Moda Lines & Batiks

9) Aurifil

10) Both

11) 12 years
12) 30+

13) Mid arm
14) Janome 6600P

15) I don't know if I'd define it as Professional and Hobby. I'd probably go with Seasoned Quilter versus Casual. Casual quilters go with kits 80 percent of the time. When they do make a pattern, they want it to be just like the picture.

1) Where are you located?
Cleveland,
Ohio, hopefully soon Savannah Georgia, or South Carolina

2) What makes a good blog?
LOTS OF PICTURES, AND LOTS OF STORIES

3) Who is your favorite quilt artist, famous or not?
TOO MANY TO MENTION.. SOMEONE WHO TEACHES WELL, AND TAKES THE TIME TO TEACH, AND SHOW..SOMEONE WHO IS PASSIONATE ABOUT QUILTING. SOMEONE WHO HAS A GOOD TECHNIQUE, OR CAN TEACH ME SOMETHING NEW.. SOMEONE WHO HAS LOTS OF PATIENCE..

4) Who taught you how to quilt?
MYSELF.. WATCHING QNN TV. FOR MANY HOURS.. LOTS OF MISTAKES

5) Do you like piecing or applique better?
PIECING, BUT SINCE I LOVE LANDSCAPES I AM GETTING INTO APPLIQUE MORE.

6) Do you like patterns or kits better?
PATTERNS..

7) If you quilt from a pattern, do you make your own patterns?
I WORK FROM MY OWN PATTERNS, OR IF I SEE A QUILT THAT I LIKE, I MIGHT USE THE PIECING ARRANGEMENT TO GET THE BASIC SHAPE, AND THEN I WOULD MAKE IT MY OWN BY ADDING DETAILS, AND A NEW ARRANGEMENT TO IT. I NEVER USE THE SAME FABRICS, COLORS, OR ARRANGEMENT.

8 ) What is your favorite fabric line?
I LOVE ALL FABRIC, BUT I AM REALLY ADDICTED TO
MODA MARBLES
9) What is your favorite thread?
CONNECTING THREADS THREADS OF COURSE.. ESSENTIAL THREAD

10) Do you quilt for fun or as a profession?
LIFESTYLE.. DURING WAKING HOURS, AND WHEN SLEEPING I DREAM ABOUT QUILTS, AND DESIGNING QUILTS.

11) How long have you been quilting?
3 OR MAYBE 4 YEARS BY NOW.. DON'T REMEMBER, FEELS LIKE I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOREVER

12) How many hours a week do you spend on quilting?
TOO MANY TO COUNT.. FROM THE TIME I AM AWAKE UNTIL THE TIME I GO TO SLEEP

13) Do you machine quilt on a domestic home sewing machine, mid arm, or long arm?
DOMESTIC SEWING MACHINE

14) What is your favorite sewing machine?
MY BERNINA QE 153 USED, AND THE BEST GIFT I EVER RECEIVED FROM A VERY SPECIAL PERSON. SHE HAS SUPPORTED MY QUILTING ADDICTION BY GIVING ME THE ENCOURAGEMENT TO GO ON WHEN I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE I WAS ANY GOOD AT IT.

15) How do you spot a Professional Quilter from a Hobby Quilter? Is there a difference?
THE ANSWER IS IN WHAT THEY CREATE. ONE WHO IS A PROFESSIONAL IS PASSIONATE, AND THAT SHOWS IN WHAT THEY CREATE.
