I make donation quilts for Cancer Patients, and Terminally Ill Patients.
Unfortunately this quilt is a little too close to home. My best friends Mom is losing her battle with cancer, and prayers are being said every day. I wanted to make a quilt that her Mom would cherish, and something that Jackie could have to keep later. Jackie has been my best friend for over 10 years now. I want to say closer to 15 years, wow time sure goes by way too fast.WE WILL MISS HER. SHE WAS A REMARKABLE WOMAN. WE LOVE YOU!

This is the fabric Palette that I have chosen. Some may not make the final cut, and I might add some others as I begin the quilt. I have to do this quickly since time is not on my side.

I know what you mean about it being too close to home. My mom is also fighting cancer, and will lose the battle all too soon. Luckily I made her a quilt of my dad 4 years ago and it's been so personally satisfying watching her enjoy the quilt. What a wonderful friend you are.
