Lazy Sunday.. working on projects for myself

I have always wanted to make a rose applique, and I thought I would try it.  Of course I made the rose with 14 sections to it.. I never start easy.  It was a challenge, and didn't come out the best, but not bad.  Hopefully it will look better with thread painting after it is quilted.  I just quickly tacked down the pieces so I wouldn't lose them.  I had some beautiful rose fabric that I am going to use for embellishments.  Now I am taking the easy route, and letting the fabric design do the work.
