Blogger's Quilt Festival - Spring 2010

This is my favorite quilt that I have made so far.  It is my second take at applique.
I made this quilt because I love landscape, beaches, oceans, water, and sand.  I learned how to applique and also how to place the fabric and choose the fabric to make the quilt look realistic.

Thank You Amy for hosting the Quilt Festival.  I love seeing the beautiful quilts, and the talent people have.

Renee - thanks for the great comments on my Grand Canyon piece.
You have been so productive the last many weeks that you deserve some 'time out' from it all. I can't believe all you have been doing. It has been fun watching your quilting progress along the way. WOW!
Do take care of you, my friend. And thank you, too, for continuing prayers for Zach. They are still determining if they can do surgery or not - his case is more complicated than just the aneurysm, which is serious enough.

very nice--great colors, wonderful composition and your quilting is so complimentary to it all

I am admiring the very nice quilting within the center panel. Those long lines look really great in the sky.

very nice. I like the way you carried the brown sashing of the applique centre out to the edges.
