Free Motion Quilting Learning Texture and lines

This was all done without marking the lines using the fabric for ideas.  I learned if the thread doesn't have a high contrast from the fabric, it shows the dimension better and I thought the high contrast thread would show the quilting better..my thinking was sure flawed.. things we learn.  I will take more pictures after I finish the quilting.

What beautiful quilting! I've tried free motion quilting a couple of times and even took a class, but still can't get it right. I need to practice. I have a lot of trouble getting the tension right on my machine. I wish I had one with a stitch regulator.

Hi Mary,
You don't need a stitch regulator. I never had one, just have a basic machine. A lot of people that have stitch regulators don't really use them.
