Trim to a 3 inch square
Sew to a 3 inch square ( repeat the process )
Sew the 3 inch 4 patch, and the 3 inch square into another 4 patch block
Trim block to 5 inch
Repeat the process 3 more times
Sashing is 1.5 by 5
Center square is 1.5 by 1.5
Lay the 4 blocks in the order you want.
Attach the 1.5w x 5 length inch strip to the top left block (block 1) I know in Geometry you are supposed to say Length x Width, but I don't know if it applies to sewing as well.
sew the bottom sashing strip to the 1.5 square
Sew the bottom sashing strip to the 1st block (top left)
Sew the bottom sashing strip onto the bottom of the second block
Sew the sashing strip to the 3rd block (bottom left)
Sew block 1 and 2 together (Top Left and Right Blocks)
Sew Block 3 & 4 together ( Bottom Left and Right Blocks)
Right block is laying on top of left block. (top and bottom blocks shown in picture) (sew on right side)
Sew top and bottom half together
Final Block
My progress so far.
I hope the tutorial wasn't too confusing.

I thought your tute was very clear. Thanks for sharing.
Love it!! Thanks for posting this one - gives me ideas for using up some scraps that are threatening to "take over" the sewing room!! LOL
Thank you. I am new to quilting and can't wait to start my first project. Your posting seems easy to follow.
